La Redonda opened on the 25th of December 2015 with bunk beds inside and tents in the garden. Anna and Lucero added two private cabins as it grew, and left the rest of the house as dorms on purpose — because the whole point of the place is the people you meet in it.
Ten years on that has not changed. There is a common area you will lose an afternoon in, a kitchen that is busiest at eleven at night, and a week of things to do that nobody is obliged to join. Enough room to disappear into a corner, enough going on that you will not want to.

Shared dorms
Four to ten beds, with a locker, a plug and a reading light of your own, and the best odds in town of leaving with new friends.
Private cabins
Two cabins for two — each with its own bathroom — one under a palapa roof with a rooftop cabana, one with a balcony over the street. The hostel, without the bunk.

The main break is at the end of the street and a soft, forgiving right — it is where most of Sayulita caught their first wave. When it is crowded or flat, the trip goes out to La Lancha, Burros or Punta de Mita instead. Boards rent from $6 a day; the trip is from $25.
